Why this volunteer project?

Tenants in this community are keen to start gardening and growing vegetables that can be harvested and used as a food source! This is a project that you will be able to leave seeing the difference that you made in the community’s outdoor space. Volunteers will be building 2 raised planter boxes, lining them and filling with soil and fertilizing, and building 1 picnic table. This project will take place on the roof of the building, so volunteers will help to bring all of the tools and supplies up to the roof as well. The raised garden boxes will be ready for the community to plant their gardens when we leave at the end of the day!

What′s involved?

  • Working in team to build the boxes (instructions and on site support provided)
