Community Capital Fund

The Community Capital Fund (CCF) is an OCH-sponsored program that was created in 2009 as a tenant engagement program.

Tenants submit proposals to purchase amenities or engage in beautification projects in their communities.

Some of the past successful projects included:

  • Community bulletin boards
  • Lounge and community kitchen upgrades, furniture and equipment
  • Courtyard upgrades and enhancements
  • Outdoor amenities like picnic tables and benches
  • Gardening equipment, garden beds, sheds
  • Recreational equipment
  • Barbeques

Successful applications will be those that demonstrate community participation in the project, including the willingness to invest time and energy to make the project a community success. Fundraising with tenants or the local business community, community involvement in the project are but a few examples of community participation that you can consider.

To be considered for funding this year, your application must be completed by your Community Developer no later than Friday, February 23rd, 2024.

Your CDer will also be using the opportunity of working with you to gather your thoughts on the CCF – what you have liked about it, what you find challenging and your thoughts on how the CCF should move forward. Even if you do not have an application to discuss this year, We encourage you to reach out to your CDer to share your thoughts on the future of the CCF.
