Join representatives from Ottawa Community Housing and Ottawa West Community Support to cut the ribbon on a new office for Aging in Place at the OCH seniors’ community at Walkley Manor (1660 Walkley Road) – home to nearly 250 residents.

Ottawa West Community Support operates the Aging in Place program and is a critical partner in helping to meet the needs of OCH seniors – providing them with the necessary support to stay in their homes as they age. Before this expansion, Aging in Place offered onsite support in 11 communities.

Thanks to funds from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care via Ontario Health East, programming will expand to eight new communities – offering services such as service referral and coordination, as well as assistance filling out forms, short-term homemaking service and emergency meals, transportation, health education, events, classes and van outings.

The new onsite offices will provide services to more than 1,000 tenants.
