The project involves the construction of 16 new homes, including 2 four-bedroom modified accessible stacked townhouses. It includes a mix of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes. This new development is constructed on the foundations of an existing fire damaged structure that used to house 14 homes. This redesign adds 2 additional homes with a total of 10 additional bedrooms and a split level style concept with south / north frontage that maximizes sunlight and cross ventilation for increased tenant comfort. Two of the 3-bedroom townhouse layouts can be easily modified to increase the bedroom count by one (to a 4-bedroom) to accommodate the needs of a larger family. The homes are built to be highly energy efficient, using LED lighting and polished concrete radiant floor heating.
The new build is expected to cost approximately $4.5M.
