The Community House MAKE iT Clubs have been busy!

Children at the 15 Community Houses have been working at mastering their coding and digital literacy skills. In May we partnered with the University of Ottawa’s Maker Mobile to offer exciting 3D Printing Workshops.

The MAKE iT Club facilitators planned some amazing science activities for summer programs. The kids got a chance to experience a summer full of educational science experiments and creative building projects. We hoped that all of the participants head back to school in September smarter than they were in June!

By delivering community-based enriched STEAM (Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts and Math) activities, children are given the opportunity to explore and learn while having fun. The goal of the program is to get children interested and confident in these fields.
