(OTTAWA, ON) August 19, 2020 – Ottawa Community Housing will unveil its newest mural “I See Beauty, I See Beauty In You” that has been installed on two buildings in downtown Ottawa.
Ottawa-based artist Claudia Salguero will join Stéphane Giguère, Chief Executive Officer of Ottawa Community Housing for the official unveiling of these murals – which were created by tenants, for tenants – with support from Ottawa Salus and the Centretown Community Health Centre.
Invited guests include Ottawa Centre MPP Joel Harden, Somerset Councillor and OCH Board member Catherine McKenney and Centretown Community Health Centre’s Director, Siffan Rahman.
They will be joined by a local resident who will share a poem that inspired this project.

Note: The unveiling will be held at the back of 415 MacLaren; hosts will be onsite to direct attendees. The mural is made up of a series of panels, with a larger panel in the shared space at 380 Somerset Street West.
