OCH houses a diverse population of varying languages, ethnicity and cultures. OCH is the largest social housing provider in Ottawa, managing two-thirds of the City’s social housing portfolio, and is the second largest in Ontario.
As a leader in the delivery of quality, affordable housing, Ottawa Community Housing collaborates with others to develop safe and healthy communities.
Financial sustainability involves positioning OCH to access available grants, maintain assets, implement refinancing strategies, and reinvest savings into our communities.
Portfolio Maintenance & Growth

Safe & Healthy Communities
Undertaking initiatives that engage tenants in creating safe and inclusive neighborhoods, and creating the awareness and skills necessary for successful tenancies.
Promoting green culture through its Green Plan: the Eco2 Plan, which includes education and retrofit initiatives, and constantly developing and monitoring strategies to reduce energy consumption across our portfolio.
