Development Strategy
OCH’s Development Strategy outlines plans for building more affordable housing. The City of Ottawa’s 10-Year Housing and Homelessness Plan targets OCH to add an average of 300 affordable homes per year. OCH’s Development Strategy is being proactive, so we not only meet that City’s target but are ready for future funding/partnership opportunities that become available to add more.

OCH own and operate over 15, 000 homes. The vast majority of the OCH homes are subsidized (also known as community or social housing). Approximately 10% of the portfolio is considered below average market rent. Find out more about our rentals here.
