Neither snow nor rain could stop a group of Caldwell residents eager to explore the outdoors on Feb. 9.

Residents got a chance to try out some skis, thanks to a partnership between the Carlington Community Health Centre, Carlington Chaplaincy, the Ottawa Outdoor Gear Library and the Carlington Rec Gym. The partnership allows residents to try out winter sports every Thursday throughout February.

The activity that will follow the skiing was a skating session on Feb. 16.
