Project
Gladstone Village is located generally bordered by Somerset Street to the north, east of the O-Train Trillium Line, west of Preston Street, and south of Oak Street (extension).
Development will be a progressive build of mixed-use (residential/retail/office), mixed-income (affordable and market rental), mixed-density (low-, mid-, and high-rise), and mixed-tenure (rental/ownership).
Responsible infill and sustainability is at the forefront of the development of Gladstone Village. The project will consider the neighbouring community design, colours and feel to integrate the new buildings into the neighbourhood fabric. The surrounding neighbourhood residents have provided input into the design and have helped shape the plan.
The Gladstone Village subdivision will include new streets, sidewalks, multi-use pathways, and infrastructure.
Gladstone Village Phase I
Gladstone Village Phase 1 will be comprised of 338 affordable housing units within an 18- storey building and 9-storey building. The towers will share a 4-storey podium. The project will be a mix of studios, 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-bedroom units. This phase will also include retail space.
Community Benefits
The buildings will include plenty of indoor and outdoor amenity space for the residents to enjoy.
The development will also include multiple Car Share parking spaces that will be available for use by tenants as well as the broader community.
