Halloween

Halloween was a huge success for tenants this year: candy, laughter, and creative costumes brought everyone together! Please take a look at these fun photos taken at 380 Somerset Street, Clementine Towers, and Woodland-Cahill to see the excitement that took place.

An Ode to Halloween

‘Twas the eve of all hallows and the creeps were unbound.

They were drawn together, and in the lounge, they were found.

While the music howled and the shuffling occurred, all were present, and even a few stirred.

There was a challenge for a trick or a treat, and it was settled by the paces of the hairy feet.

In the end, the scariest won, and the tenants at Clementine had plenty of fun.

First aid training

Tenant representatives from downtown and east joined forces for our very first St. John Ambulance first aid and CPR course on November 5—and it was great!

Meal with Friends

There’s nothing better than sharing a meal with friends. Check out the photo above from the monthly potluck dinner in November at Russell Gardens.

Pottery class creates happy faces at Wellington Towers

28 seniors enjoyed lunch and made fun pottery pieces on November 7. Smiles all around thanks to RecLINK, a program from the OCH Foundation that helps tenants join fun activities and sports. Learn more here: ochfoundation.ca/programs/reclink/

Great things will grow at Hasenack Place

Even though it is far from gardening season, we want to celebrate tenant volunteers who care for the community gardens. At Hasenack Place, volunteers grow their own vegetables and share them with others.

There are some plots used for the “pick of the day,” which lets tenants who don’t have their own gardens choose fruits and vegetables.
