Volunteers Transform 506 Bronson with Scenes of Nature

Eleven new murals have been painted in the halls of 506 Bronson. The murals show scenes of nature and freedom. They make spaces feel brighter and more welcoming. Residents now enjoy a more inviting place to call home.
Twenty volunteers from the Canadian Real Estate Association helped with the project. It was part of the Powered by Purpose program, which supports local community projects.
The volunteers teamed up with muralist Claudia Salguero, who marked her 100th mural in Ottawa in December 2025. Tenants chose the theme. Their ideas shaped the transformation.
Volunteers also donated $1,500 for new furniture in shared spaces such as the lounge. One volunteer said:
“Helping make this community more welcoming has been meaningful for CREA volunteers. We saw firsthand how OCH transforms lives for people looking for a safe, affordable home.”
Did you know? OCH now has more than 30 murals; many created with Claudia’s help. You can see all the murals here: https://www.och-lco.ca/i-am-a-tenant/murals/
