Looking for a place to meet people, try something new or make a difference in your community?
Come check out the Friel Youth Centre at 201 Friel Street.
The centre grew from ideas shared by local youth. In 2022, OCH invested $50,000 to improve the space.
Drop in after school
The Lowertown Community Resource Centre (LCRC) runs youth programs at the Friel Youth Centre. The centre at 201 Friel Street is one of the places where LCRC offers youth programs.
Transitions: Ages 12 to 14
Youth Drop-In: Ages 15 to 18
📍 Where: Friel Youth Centre, 201 Friel Street
🕒 When: Monday to Thursday, after school to 5:30 p.m.
Youth must live in Lowertown and meet LCRC’s income requirements. You will need to provide proof of your address and family income. Not sure if you qualify? Contact LCRC to find out.
📝 Register: A parent or tutor can email reception@crcbv.ca or call 613-789-3930, ext. 0.
Once registered, you can drop in to take part in activities, get support, meet other youth, and spend time in a safe and welcoming space.

Join Youth Connect
Youth Connect meets Fridays and is open to OCH and non-OCH youth in high school, college or university.

Youth Connect members are already making a difference in Lowertown. Two members recently received the LCRC Prix de Jeunesse award, and others are now working as OCH summer students.
