Community Bulletin: Continuing To Build Stronger Communities Together in 2022
Share this story
On January 20, our Board of Directors passed OCH’s
2022 budget. That means that Ottawa Community Housing can continue to deliver
tenant-focused services. Many changes are being implemented to improve your
tenant experience, which includes investments in parking enforcement, pest
 management, and community safety services.
As the COVID-19 pandemic carries on and challenges
arise, OCH is committed to continuing to provide you with critical services
 during this difficult time.
So, how does the budget impact OCH tenants?
OCH is investing money in improving the hundreds of
communities we serve. Some of the investments in this year’s budget include:
· $26.3 million in building and maintenance repairs
· $2.4 million in fire safety upgrades
·
 $1
million for green retrofits that lower OCH’s carbon footprint
We’re also growing!
The 2022 budget allows OCH to continue to develop more
affordable housing. This year, we’ll continue to design or construct 911 new,
 affordable homes across the city.
