OCH is honoured to be named one of the National Capital Region’s (NCR) Top Employers for the seventh consecutive year.

The team at OCH strives to embody its CARE Values of Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence in every aspect of their work. These values are fundamental to success, and OCH is committed to ensuring that they are reflected in our interactions with each other and tenants.

OCH’s culture statement is that “We are proud because everyday we make a difference”, and with this common drive forward, the team fosters an organization that is a leader in our industry.

OCH prioritizes employee health and well-being through wellness programs; fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace by promoting equality and providing learning opportunities for all employees; invests in continuous learning and development opportunities to help employees grow and thrive in their career; encourages community involvement to build and foster connections within our communities and with tenants; and supports work-life balance by offering a flexible workplace.

Reasons Why OCH Is An Exceptional Place To Work

This award is a special designation that recognizes industry leaders who provide exceptional places to work. Below are the reasons OCH was selected as an NCR Top Employer:

  1. OCH created a wellness committee to promote positive physical and psychological well-being and offer a healthy living account to allow employees to allocate funds to a healthcare spending account or a wellness benefit.
  1. OCH helps employees plan for life after work and offers retirement planning assistance services along with contributions to a defined benefit pension plan — and a phased-in retirement work option when nearing retirement.
  1. OCH supports new moms, dads and adoptive parents with maternity and parental leave top-up payments up to 95 per cent of salary for 25 weeks (about 5 and a half months).

As CEO, I am incredibly proud to lead a team of close to 500 employees who work tirelessly every day to improve the lives of OCH tenants. This recognition further validates that providing more than a home because we care is at the heart of our work.

Together, we are changing lives by providing a place to call home.
