Ottawa, ON – April 27, 2026 — Media are invited to attend a milestone announcement marking the advancement of Phase 1 of the City of Ottawa’s planned Heatherington Road redevelopment on vacant City-owned land. 

Ottawa Community Housing has been confirmed as the delivery partner for Phase 1 and will move plans forward to develop 90 new affordable homes across two residential buildings at 1750 and 1790 Heatherington Road.  

Remarks will highlight the significance of Phase 1, the impact of leveraging city-owned land for affordable housing and the partnerships between Ottawa Community Housing, the City of Ottawa and the Province of Ontario helping advance this phase of development.
