Celebrate revitalized, modern, and welcoming shared spaces

Ottawa Community Housing (OCH) invites media for an exclusive first look at the refreshed common areas at 380 Murray Street, made possible through a $310,000 investment that enhances comfort, accessibility, and belonging for the building’s 360 tenants. The revitalization is part of OCH’s Welcome Home program, an initiative designed to improve shared spaces guided by tenant priorities.

Originally built in 1973, the 11-storey building now features updated flooring, fresh paint and finishes, modern lighting, and accessibility-compliant signage throughout. Functional improvements, including folding counters in the laundry room, corner guards, and upgraded mailboxes, support tenants of all ages and abilities. Guided by tenant feedback, the revitalization reflects what matters most to the community and elevates the everyday experience of everyone who lives in the building.
