No More Hot Water Tank Rental Fees for OCH Tenants 

If you were paying a separate monthly fee to rent your hot water tank, you no longer need to pay that fee. 

What does that mean? 

If you receive a monthly bill from either Reliance or Enercare, you will no longer receive one. 

If you were not paying a hot water tank rental fee, you do not need to do anything. 

As of July 20, 2026, OCH owns and maintains all hot water tanks that were previously owned by Enercare or Reliance. 

What does this mean for you? 

• You no longer pay a rental fee if you were paying one before July 20. 

• OCH will handle hot water tank repairs. 

• If your hot water tank is not working, call OCH at 613-731-1182. 

• You do not need to contact Enercare or Reliance. 

If you have a rental agreement with a company other than Reliance or Enercare for your hot water tank, please contact us.
