They’re Back!! Canadian Bar Association Volunteers Return to OCH

OTTAWA, June 18, 2014 – For the second year in a row, Ottawa Community Housing (OCH) will welcome volunteers from the Canadian Bar Association (CBA). On Thursday, June 19, sixty CBA volunteers will be painting fences throughout the Caldwell townhouse community, home to approximately 630 OCH tenants. OCH is very appreciative of the annual commitment made by CBA in supporting their employees’ volunteer engagement in OCH communities.

Refreshments are being provided by the Caldwell Family Centre and generously discounted painting supplies have been provided by Benjamin Moore, 320 Catherine Street.

Time: 8:30 a.m. – Volunteers arrive and are welcomed by OCH Board Chair, Councillor Marianne Wilkinson

12:10 a.m. – Lunch & Tenant Artwork Display from Creative Paths Program

12:30 p.m. – Welcoming Ceremony at Luncheon with Remarks by: Councillor Maria McRae

Helene Choiniere, Creative Paths 4:15 p.m. – Event ends

Lunch Location: Bellevue Community Centre Gym, 1520 Caldwell Ave. Media are invited to come join tenants and volunteers at the luncheon.
