The Tenant Talks working group focuses on gathering feedback and working with tenants to learn how to serve you better. The group hosted two working sessions in late November.

Nearly 30 tenants from many different communities attended either the morning or afternoon sessions and we learned a lot!

The services we talked about were:

  • Maintenance
  • Pest management
  • Safety

We want to thank those individuals who came out to share their opinions. We took a lot of notes, and will be creating maps of the processes for those services based on that feedback.

Working together helps staff understand and improve the services we provide to tenants.

We are not done; we will continue to work with tenants through a variety of methods, including:

  • Informal lobby chats
  • Information booths at community events
  • Working group sessions to gather feedback on all of our services
  • Surveys through social media

What is next?

We have two upcoming community sessions to discuss the following subjects:

  • Rent administration
  • Tenant support to access resources and neighbour complaints
  • Communications

The January 22 session will be held at 2651 Regina Street, and the January 23 session will be held at 280 Rochester Street.

In each print version of the tenant newsletter, we plan to share upcoming dates for working group sessions and other opportunities for you to get involved. We have also created a dedicated Tenant Talks web page, where we will keep you up to date. Check it out and sign up for a session at https://www.och-lco.ca/your-home/tenant-talks/
