Aug. 19, OTTAWA, ON – 80 volunteers from Tiree came together to transform the Confederation Court Community House, installing a brand-new kitchen, refreshing the gardens, and repainting the basketball court. Supported by a $5,000 donation from Tiree, the project creates vibrant, welcoming spaces where residents can cook, gather, and participate in community programs. The upgrades expand food security program space and provide new opportunities for connection, learning, and shared meals.

Meeting the Need

Demand for services at the Community House, including its satellite food bank, has quadrupled over the past few years. The newly renovated kitchen and revitalized outdoor spaces help residents access nutritious meals, participate in cooking classes, and enjoy safe, engaging areas for play and social connection.

Why Tiree volunteers

Tiree is committed to serving the communities where its employees live and work. Guided by values of community and connection, the company supports programs that help people thrive by improving access to essential resources and opportunities. This was Tiree’s third volunteer project with Ottawa Community Housing (OCH) and part of the company’s 25th-anniversary celebrations.
