Ottawa Community Housing Awards Design Contract for Phase 2 of Gladstone Village

Ottawa, ON — (November 13, 2025) Ottawa Community Housing has awarded Hobin Architecture the contract to design Phase 2 of Gladstone Village, one of Ottawa’s largest affordable housing developments.
Hobin Architecture is an award-winning Ottawa-based firm recognized for its sustainable, community-focused, and people-centered design. With multiple City of Ottawa Urban Design Awards and Ontario Association of Architects accolades, the firm has a proven record of delivering affordable, mixed-use, and environmentally responsible projects.
Phase 2 of Gladstone Village will add up to 975 new affordable homes across three buildings on a 2.41-acre portion of the site. Located beside the Corso Italia LRT Station in the heart of Ottawa, this next stage will contribute to the continued evolution of a connected and inclusive urban community.

Gladstone Village is an 8-acre development in downtown Ottawa, planned to deliver upwards of 1,300 new affordable homes across multiple phases. Phase 2 represents a significant portion of this multi-year development, expanding OCH’s contribution to affordable housing while enhancing the city’s urban fabric. The development is aligned with Ottawa’s 10-Year Housing and Homelessness Plan and will provide homes for a diverse range of tenants, including families, seniors, and individuals with varying abilities.
