Ottawa Community Housing (OCH) is thrilled to have Greco Lean and Fit Centre volunteers help build a play structure at the newly expanded Carson’s Road community. The playground structure will be a welcome addition to the community, where a further 27 homes are being built. The playground installation on Saturday, August 10th will kick start with a morning ceremony attended by several guest speakers. The new play structure will provide many hours of outdoor exercise and enjoyment for the numerous children who live at Carson’s Road.

Created by Tony Greco, The Foundation to Fight Obesity in Children contributed $5,000 towards the new playground structure at Carson’s Road. The Foundation believes very strongly in the physical and social benefits of basic playground structures.

“This playground is very important to the residents of Carson’s Road”, said Jo-Anne Poirier, CEO of OCH. “The children who live at Carson’s Road will have healthy lifestyle opportunities for play and friendship for many years to come.”

Media are invited to attend the event. At 9:30 a.m. a welcome ceremony with special guest speakers will take place at 734 Carson’s Road;image
